Due to the effects of global warming, the heat stress risk for people working in high-temperature environments has been increasing year by year. Starting June 1st, heat stress prevention measures in the workplace will become legally mandatory, and companies are now required to implement more effective and practical solutions than ever before.
MITSUFUJI CORPORATION provides the “hamon band S,” a wristband device that visualizes heat-related risks for workers in extremely hot environments. Equipped with a patented algorithm, the hamon band S estimates and visualizes changes in a user’s core body temperature in real time simply by wearing it on his/her wrist. It enables users to detect subtle signs of physical distress that are often difficult to notice on their own.
Approximately 2,500 units of the hamon band S will be introduced at selected Yamato Transport Co., Ltd. offices in Nagasaki Prefecture and Tokyo. The devices will be worn by both drivers and warehouse staff to verify the effectiveness of heatstroke countermeasures under extreme heat conditions.
